State Reps. Tom Kunse, R-Clare, and Alabas Farhat, D-Dearborn, are excited to announce the second annual Legislative Softball Game for charity. The event is scheduled for June 5 at Jackson Field in Lansing.

“Last year was such a success that we had to run it back again this year,” said Kunse. “Things can get tense in Lansing, but we’re all here because we want to make things better. The Legislative Softball Game allows us to throw politics aside, embrace bipartisanship, and raise money for a really important organization.”

“Last year’s inaugural Legislative Softball Game was a huge success. Bringing together colleagues on both sides of the aisle, we were able to raise $20,000 for the Lansing area homeless population, while building meaningful relationships along the way,” Farhat said. “The upcoming second annual Legislative Softball Game promises to be unforgettable. In keeping with the spirit of bipartisanship, I am proud to announce that Ele’s Place has been chosen as this year’s charity. Ele’s Place is dedicated to aiding grieving individuals through a range of services, including peer-to-peer support groups and bereavement counseling.”

More details about the game will be released later.
