State Rep. Douglas Wozniak today congratulated legislative intern Julia Sitek on being selected as a recipient of the Daniel Rosenthal Legislative Intern Award, presented by Michigan State University’s James Madison College and the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research.

Sitek, a Sterling Heights native, was recognized alongside a select group of interns from across the Michigan Legislature for demonstrating exceptional dedication, professionalism, and commitment to public service during her time in Lansing.

“Julia has been an outstanding member of our team, and this recognition is well deserved,” said Wozniak (R-Shelby Township). “She has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for serving others. We are grateful for the contributions she has made to our office and proud to see her hard work recognized at this level.”

The Daniel Rosenthal Legislative Intern Award honors the legacy of one of Michigan State University’s first legislative interns and recognizes students who exemplify the qualities he embodied, including enthusiasm, intelligence, sincerity, and dedication to public service.

Sitek has served in Wozniak’s office over the past several months, assisting with constituent services, legislative research, and daily office operations.

“Julia represents the next generation of public servants, and I have no doubt she has a bright future ahead,” said Wozniak. “We wish her continued success in all that comes next.”
